What a great time of worship we had in our church services yesterday. The Spirit of the Lord was present in a powerful and wonderful way.
I preached from Daniel 7. I've been doing a series of messages through the book of Daniel since September 2008, and yes, we've just got to chapter 7 of Daniel. It's been an exciting journey through this study of God's Word.
I ministered from verses one through ten. This was a little different than what I normally do because of the dream Daniel had of the kingdoms in beastly like fashion. In chapter 2 of his book, the King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed about the same kingdoms but in a different fashion as seeing them in a image of various costly metals.
I drew primarily upon verse 10 where Daniel saw a judgment that is to take place and "the books were opened." I preached from the thought, "the books we will be judged by." There are three books I believe, from the Scriptures that both the saved and the unsaved will judged by. Two of them directly for unsaved and three of them saved.
What a time we had. Several responded to the altar service with one individual accepting Christ as their Savior. Praise the Lord!
Sunday night I had been scheduled to preach away at another church and was honored to be able to do so. God blessed in this particular meeting in a powerful way too. I was treated with such honor and I deeply appreciate the kindness of this host pastor and the wonderful reception of the congregation to the ministry of the Word. They were so hungry and receptive to God's Word and filled the altars and sought the Lord. It was truly a great, great blessing to experience. I praise the Lord for His faithful presence and for what He done and started in many lives yesterday. Eternity will only reveal the complete results of God's word being sown into lives.
May you be blessed today and thanks for stopping by.
Until my next blog confabulation….God bless!
