The Curse Poured Out!

What a great move of the Spirit of God we had in our Worship Services. I picked up in the study of Daniel 9 on the prayer of Daniel where I've been preaching a series on the five particular principles I see that Daniel addressed in his prayer to God.

Daniel 9:3-19, is the prayer and it is one of the most powerful prayers, I believe, next to the prayers of Jesus, ever recorded for us in the Scripture.

In this prayer, he addressed the condition of his people, and then I considered the concepts of his praying, drew upon the character of God and this past Sunday, 4/19, I preached from the subject, "The prayer of Daniel: the curse poured out."

Daniel 9:11, this aged man seeks the Lord in reference to the curse poured out on his people as a result of their disobedience.

I asked three questions and endeavored to answer each of them:
(1) What is the curse?
(2) What brought about the curse?
(3) How can the curse can be broken?

My what an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit was present in a powerful, powerful way. As I preached the message, the Holy Spirit was moving and dealing with hearts and when I gave the altar call, several responded pouring out their heart to the Lord.

Oh what a blessing it is to see individuals give their burdens to the Lord and watch as the peace of God floods their life.

In our evening service, our youth ministries had the entire service. It was National Youth Day in our fellowship and they were given the opportunity to conduct the worship. What a special time we had. Their worship, testimonies and special singing blessed everyone in a great way.

I rejoice in what God is doing in their lives. God is truly moving in the hearts and lives of teenagers that will seek Him and allow the Lord to make Himself real to them.

Until my next blog confabulation….God bless!
